Welcome to Awetheme. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Introduction

Awetheme is a platform for creating, publishing, browsing, and downloading custom Chrome themes. These Terms cover the website, the Theme Creator, marketplace downloads, and related features.

2. Accounts

• Some features (publishing, liking, and following) require an account. Public themes can be browsed and downloaded without signing in.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Theme Creator and drafts

• Themes you work on in the Creator may be stored locally in your browser as drafts until you publish or export them. Unpublished drafts are not stored on our servers unless you choose to publish.
• You are responsible for backing up drafts you care about.
• Exported theme packages are Chromium theme packages for installing in Chrome, Edge, or other compatible browsers according to each browser’s rules.

4. User-generated content

4.1 Publishing themes

• You retain ownership of original content you create and upload, subject to the license below.
• By publishing a theme, you grant other users a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to view, download, and install that theme through Awetheme.
• Published themes are publicly accessible until you remove them or we take them down under these Terms.
• You may edit or delete your published themes as the product allows.

4.2 Images and stock libraries

• You must own or have permission to use every image you upload or import.
• Images from stock providers (for example Unsplash or Pexels) or from pasted URLs must comply with that source’s license. Where required, Awetheme will show attribution (photographer / provider) on the theme’s new-tab page and may include an Awetheme site mark. See our License Summary.
• Do not strip required attribution for network or stock images by misusing the product.

5. Content restrictions

You agree not to upload or publish content that:

• Infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other rights
• Contains illegal, explicit, violent, or hateful material
• Spreads malware or other harmful code
• Violates privacy, promotes scams, or is deliberately misleading

We may remove content and suspend or ban accounts that violate these rules. To report content, use the theme’s report action or see Report Content.

6. Intellectual property

• You keep rights in your original theme content, subject to the license you grant when publishing.
• Awetheme’s name, branding, site design, and software are owned by Awetheme and may not be copied or reused without permission.

7. Disclaimers and liability

• Services are provided “as is”, without warranties of uptime, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
• We are not liable for loss or damage arising from use of the services, themes, or third-party images, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
• You use Awetheme at your own risk.

8. Changes

• We may update these Terms from time to time.
• For material changes, we will post a notice on the website.
