Install a theme on your computer

After downloading a ZIP, how to load and use the theme in Chrome or Edge.

Theme packages use the Chromium theme format. You can load them in Chrome, Edge, and most other Chromium-based browsers with Developer mode.

Chrome: load with Developer mode

Unzip the downloaded ZIP
Open chrome://extensions in the Chrome address bar
Turn on Developer mode in the top-right corner
Click Load unpacked, then select the folder you just unzipped

Once loaded, Chrome applies the theme appearance right away.

Edge: load with Developer mode

Same steps as Chrome—only the extensions URL differs:

Unzip the downloaded ZIP
Open edge://extensions in the Edge address bar
Turn on Developer mode
Click Load unpacked, then select that folder

Because Edge is Chromium-based, the same package usually works. Some Edge-only UI (such as the sidebar) may look slightly different from the Chrome preview.
